China’s latest COVID-19 outbreak has been effectively brought under control with the number of confirmed cases dropping for 11 consecutive days, bringing the number of medium-high risk areas to 38 as of August 26, said National Health Commission spokesperson Mi Feng at a press briefing on Friday.
